Your local destination for delicious, freshly prepared seafood and comfort food favorites. Known for generous portions, great value, and friendly service, Captain D’s proudly serves the community with quality meals that keep customers coming back. At our Toronto, ON location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time. It’s all for the love of fried chicken! We are a husband and wife team with a serious passion for fried chicken and all things spicy. We believe that high quality ingredients, generous portions, and good ol’ hospitality are key to a perfect casual joint. This isn’t a carbon copy of another fried chicken restaurant in Nashville. We do our own thing, our own way, with a lot of heart. All of our spice blends are made in-house; even our Carolina Reapers and Ghost Peppers are blended by hand to ensure we are using the purest and hottest peppers possible! All our chickens are brought in from a local Ontario farm, are grain-fed, free-run, never receive any hormones or steroids, and are 100% halal. [read more]
