Hounds Of York

Hounds of York is owned and run by a group of people who love dogs. We didn't just invest in a business. We are trainers, dog nutritionists and behaviour specialists. And, most importantly, we are dog owners, having adopted, raised and cared for dozens of canine companions. Our business was built with them and for them. Opening in 2017, the primary goal of HoY was to become a neighbourhood resource for dog owners; a place to drop in for treats, cuddles and advice. Located across from the beautiful Victoria Memorial Square, HoY got its name from history. The area was originally known as Fort York, and today the Square still sits in the Fort York National Historic Site. Hence, our pack is the Hounds of York and the park is a valuable resource for the store, used for frequent walks and potty breaks for our daycare dogs. And the store has become a valuable community resource for local groups, providing a regular space for different breed meet-ups. We also strive to give back, holding regular fun events for our customers and the neighbourhood to raise money for worthwhile animals charities. Come and visit us today. And don't forget to bring your dog. There's always an open bag of treats! [read more]

Bathtub King Refinishing Ltd

Bathtub King Refinishing Ltd., began its operation in 1976 in a very modest way. Before the company was formed, George Tanner, with his brothers Fred and Gord did over a year of research into the bath and tile re-glazing and refinishing market. The potential for growth and acceptance, of such a business, was excellent. What was lacking in the marketplace, they found, was professionalism of service and a system of glaze application that would provide customers with a long term guarantee (4 years) And both have been achieved. Today, Bathtub King is Canada's No.1 reglazing company with headquarters in Toronto providing reglazing and refinishing services to some of Canada's largest hotel and motel chains, such as: Inn on the Park, Ramada Inn, Constellation Hotel, Holiday Inn, Community Motels and others. Pizza Nostra

Pizza Nostra was founded in 2015 by brothers Marco and Andrea Grande. Marco and Andrea were raised in the food industry, working from an early age with their father, Rosario, at his butcher shop on Jane Street in Toronto. Marco brings with him his passion for quality and his experience as a butcher. He knows how to bring out the best of every cut of meat. Every hoagie he makes is filled with meat that he has cut and prepared himself. Marco has been making his own sausages and cured meats for years - an artisanal talent he brings with him to Pizza Nostra. Andrea's passion for food and zest for life led him from his father's butcher shop to his cousin's pizzeria in New Jersey. There he learned the pizza business and successfully ran it for years. Andrea perfected their pizza recipe and built a reputation for delicious, high-quality pies - a reputation he'll build on back home in Ontario. Together, Marco and Andrea are committed to providing the highest quality ingredients, many of which are hand-made or hand-cut in house. They are firm believers in the value of small-batch, hand-crafted foods that are made with passion. The Grande brothers look forward to serving you for years to come! [read more]
