At our Toronto, ON location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the new Captain Dβs in North York! The staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming and the food was equally impressive! The seafood was crispy, fresh, and flavorful. We tried a variety of dishes including their signature fried fish, shrimp, chicken tenders, hush puppies, and corn on the cob - all perfectly seasoned and piping hot. The coleslaw was also pretty crisp and refreshing. A special mention goes to the unique appetizer that looked like stuffed crab claws.
The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere casual and family-friendly, and the portions were generous. Whether you're craving fried seafood or just want a hearty, satisfying meal with great service, this place is a must visit.
