Kay’s Place was a staple in Oshawa for over 30 years. Everyone knew you could get a gift for any occasion at Kay’s Place as they carried many collectibles such as Royal Doulton, Hummels, Precious Moments, Cherished Teddies, Boyd’s Bears and the Bradford Exchange products, plus their business is also all about framing your photos, art, diplomas, needlepoint etc. In 1989 to 1994 They built their own business Signature Art Gallery on Simcoe St. N. And then in 1993 they decided to buy Kay’s Place and merge the two businesses together. "The joy of putting smiles on our customers faces over the years has been our greatest success" Says Bobbie, one of the owners of Kay's Place.  She also mentioned that "Over the years people are not seeing the value in collectibles as they used to," but they still carry the Bradford Exchange collectible/giftware, but their main business now is the Custom Framing and their Art Gallery. We all like to display paintings, photos, etc. that are enjoyable to look at each day. Hiding certificates, diplomas, golf scores, jerseys etc. is such a shame when so much work and money went into achieving that goal.  Because they are a family owned business and not a big box store, "We give personal attention and competitive pricing to our customers" Says Bobbie. They also support local Artists, and donate to many local charities. They invite anyone to come to their store for a non-comital quote on your framing.

Also a big selling feature at Kay’s Place is the Lampe Berger Air Purifiers. They carry over 70 fragrances to choose from and keep a good stock at all times. If you are not familiar with Lampe Berger, the beauty of this product is it cleans 68% of the germs in the air and puts a wonderful fragrance into your home. Plus you have no worries about a flame as you only light it for 2 min then blow it out. It was invented in 1898 by Mr. Berger for hospitals use in Paris, this product sells itself.
