The Portuguese Bake Shop & Chicken House Inc.
Welcome to the Portuguese Bake Shop & Chicken House, Etobicoke’s ultimate destination for authentic, scratch-made Portuguese cuisine! We specialize in Portuguese BBQ chicken, traditional bakery products, pastéis de nata, prepared meals and catering services. Now proudly serving the community from our new, expanded location at 835 Kipling Ave (formerly on Bloor Street West), we bring the vibrant flavors of Portugal straight to the Greater Toronto Area.
We offer the unique experience of two shops under one roof: a savory Portuguese churrasqueira and a traditional continental bakery.
On the savory side, we are famous for our flame-grilled, juicy Portuguese rotisserie chicken, served alongside crowd favorites like our signature small Parisienne potatoes, savory rice, and traditional Portuguese hot sandwiches. On the sweet side, our bakery counters are stacked daily with fresh-baked European breads, custom cakes, savory pastries, and Toronto's favorite golden, flaky pastéis de nata (Portuguese custard tarts).
Whether you are looking for a quick, hearty takeout lunch, a comforting bowl of daily homemade soup, or professional catering services for GTA events, we pride ourselves on fresh ingredients, massive portions, and warm family hospitality.
Stop by our Etobicoke storefront today to experience the best Portuguese chicken and bakery treats in the GTA! For Catering inquiries please contact info@portuguesebakeshop.ca
