Black Forest Pastry Shop is the last of a long tradition of family-owned bakeries. Black Forest Pastry Shop has been in business for over 25 years and since 2002 in Downtown Oakville. The owner John Ziemba is a graduate of George Brown College who apprenticed under a European Pastry Chef. If you are looking for the very best, they take pride in everything they do. You will be proud to take their baking to your next get together or meeting. The good news is that their prices are all very competitive.
Love everything I've tried here. Been here multiple times and finally posting a review. Got the banana cream pie last week and it was a dinner party favourite. Also love the sausage rolls and chocolate chips cookies. Really can't go wrong with anything.
I love this little bakery! I used to go here with my mom when I was a kid, and wasn’t surprised to see that it’s still around. The patties are always fresh and the girls working there are super sweet and helpful. Covid protocols were followed perfectly. My boyfriend has a strawberry tart and said it was excellent!
They have one of the best s’mores cookies I’ve ever eaten! The atmosphere is very quaint and homey. Their sweets are amazing here - we had a box of 6 (3 chocolate chip cookies, 1 jam filled cookie, 2 s’mores), an eclair, turkey pot pie, and beef roll!
The sweets were chewy, amazing and fresh. Pairs amazing with their drip coffee!
The savoury items such as the turkey pot pie and beef roll were also very fresh, warm, and delectable! It was my first try with the pot pie and it was savoury and far from bland!
The staff here are very kind and helpful. When asked for suggestions, they asked us what we like and recommended certain items to us. Very knowledgeable people!!

I really enjoy this place. Today I had a tuna melt and it was delicious! Friendly staff and everything is always fresh.
This shop have THE best Black Forest cake in GTA. I say this only after trying all the "recommended" bakery in GTA that sells black forest, and also because im willing to drive all the way to Oakville from Markham at least twice a year just for their cake. if you dont like cakes, their tarts are extremely delicious as well. Give this place a try if u are in the area. it wont disappoint!
